Second Language Instruction

In 2007, the Home & School Club voted that second language instruction was a priority for our children. It is also an integral part of our IB curriculum.

Environmental Learning Program

The Home & School Club believes that our children develop a deeper appreciation of our environment through our LifeLab program.

Teacher Grants

Each Lexington teacher is a special part of every student's day. They know the needs of the children in their classroom. This grant allows the teachers to supplement educational materials and field trips.

School Play

A director is hired for the play. The Home and School Club provides assistance with organizing supervision at rehearsals. A DVD of the school play is available for purchase.

Lex Yearbook and portraits

A committee works with parent volunteers to ensure that the yearbook is produced every year. The Home and School Club works with a school portrait vendor to ensure that your child's years at Lex are captured on film.

Science Camp

The 5th grade class attends a week-long science camp which supplements their current curriculum. It is an enriching program for each student. The cost of the program increases every year and is normally covered through our "Sally Foster" fund-raiser.

Field Trips

There are several field trips throughout the school years for 1st thru 5th grade. All field trips coincide with the IB curriculum.

Music

A music program is offered to 4th and 5th grade students. Each student has an option to choose between a wind or string instrument. In some cases, the Home and School Club provides assistance in instrument rental.

The Lexington Home and School Club sponsors programs throughout the school year. They are made available to students to further their classroom learning. The programs are funded by proceeds from events, activities and on-going fundraisers.

Please email us with questions on the various programs.
